Seattle Shuts Out Cancun, 6-0
Friday, September 11th , 2048
"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage.
Well, good pitching also beats bad hitting.
Danny Sullivan of the Seattle Sea Serpents proved the point at The Aquadome today, holding the Cancun Toros to 2 hits in a complete game shutout victory.
"Sullivan made us look real bad today," Toros manager said in his postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."
Sullivan had 13 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks as the Sea Serpents took the 6-0 win.
On the year Sullivan has compiled a 15-6 mark with a 2.45 ERA.
