Cancun Tops New York Friday, October 22nd , 2077 A celebratory mood filled the air as the Cancun Toros closed out the season with a 3-2 victory over the New York Voyagers at Vaughn's House to capture the World Series, 4-3. Giving the Voyagers credit for a hard-fought series, Toros players said they believed throughout the postseason that their "destiny" was to be crowned Pro Baseball Experience champions. "We felt like this was our year all season long," said left fielder Myles Meredith, who was named series MVP. "It was our destiny to win it and we did." It was the 5th in franchise history. During the Champions Conference West regular season Cancun put up a 59-49 record and finished first. "They're the champions and they deserve it," said a dejected New York manager .
