Hall of Fame Honors Anthony Bauer
Wednesday, January 6th , 2044
On a bright, windy afternoon, Anthony Bauer, the superb first baseman, stood outside the doors to the Pro Baseball Experience Hall of Fame. He collected his thoughts and tried to contain his emotions before entering the shrine to baseball's greatest players.

Bauer later disclosed some of his thoughts to reporters at the press conference. "To be numbered among these great players," he said, "some of them my idols growing up... that's almost too much to fit my mind around."

Nevertheless, this outstanding performer stepped through those doors to claim his place among baseball's immortals. His induction into the Hall of Fame, which took place yesterday, surprised nobody. He collected votes from 100.0% of the writers.

Anthony Bauer was 32 when he retired from baseball. In 1173 career games he compiled a .275 batting average with 1277 hits, 283 home runs, 945 RBIs and 760 runs scored.
