Legends's Best Player, Matata of San Antonio Monday, July 4th , 2044 At the age of 29, Acuña Matata might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The San Antonio left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .583 batting average. For his efforts Matata collected the Legends Conference Player of the Week Award. He racked up 7 hits in 12 at-bats, 1 home run and 3 RBIs last week in 4 games. Thus far this season in 54 games Matata is batting .313 with 14 home runs, 46 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
