Bennigsen Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Tuesday, May 1st , 2046 Max Bennigsen continued his streak at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Anchorage catcher was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Wheelers were not as fortunate, losing 8-5 to the Amarillo Armadillos. "Bennigsen was hitting everything we threw at him," said Amarillo manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Max Bennigsen flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Bennigsen has banged out 18 hits in 43 at-bats for a .419 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .468 pace and his totals also include 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
