The Death Valley Scorpions picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, topping the Seattle Sea Serpents, 4-3. On the mound for Death Valley was right-hander Guy Roussy. He played a principal role in the triumph. Roussy, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up no walks. Bandit Keith picked up his 3rd save of the season.

Literal Flamingo, who led the Champions in triples with 8 in 2070, aided the Death Valley cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.

Flamingo told a Death Valley Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The Sea Serpents, now 4-9, continue their poor start.
