Death Valley Takes Title

The Death Valley Scorpions ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Buffalo Surge 8-1 to win the World Series.
Death Valley won the series 4-2, capturing the title for the 10th time.
"We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Death Valley manager . "It's a great feeling."
The champs finished the regular season 73-35 and claimed second place in the Champions Conference West.
In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and right fielder Lawn Gnomes said the Scorpions have "great fans and they deserve this."
"I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
