Top of the Charts: Traveler Has Hit Record

Grayle Traveler is celebrating tonight. The Providence star stroked another base hit to break a tie with Thomas Rose and claim the top spot on the single-season hits leaderboard. It was hit number 166 for Traveler. "I don't go out to set records," said Traveler. "I just try to play hard and let the chips fall where they may."
Grayle Traveler struck out in the 1st and singled in the 3rd.
This season, Traveler has posted a batting average of .368 with 166 hits in 451 at-bats, 14 home runs and 75 RBIs. He has also scored 91 runs, walked 44 times and compiled a .424 OBP.

Eucliffe Hits in 20 Consecutive Games

Death Valley designated hitter Sting Eucliffe keeps on racking up hits every time he plays.
His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 2 hits at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS. The Scorpions earned the 4-2 victory over the Cancun Toros.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Eucliffe said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky."
Sting Eucliffe singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 9th and walked in the 12th.
So far this year, Eucliffe has 13 home runs and a .294 batting average.
