Lemurs Edge Past Wheelers, 5-4

The Louisville Lemurs did just enough to sneak past the Anchorage Wheelers, 5-4, at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. Louisville pitcher Samuel Smoltz, in particular, had a standout performance. The ChaosMod came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. Louisville's record now stands at 42-35, placing them second in the East Division.
Louisville used the timely hitting of Rolly Polly to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lemurs on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Polly.
