Sluggerton Hits 2 home runs in Wheelers Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the California Firehawks and Anchorage Wheelers get after it.

The Anchorage Wheelers topped the California Firehawks, 8-4, with second baseman Slime Sluggerton playing a big role. Sluggerton slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Wheelers in the win. Scud Muffin picked up the win, lifting his record to 5-9 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 3 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 4 runs.

With Anchorage leading 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Sluggerton hit a fastball from LeeLoo Dallas Multi-Pitch for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Wheelers ahead, 7-3.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Sluggerton.

After today's action, Anchorage sits at 33-44, while California falls to 39-38.
