The Florida Flamingos used the hitting of third baseman Atlas Sluggs to subdue the Amarillo Armadillos, 6-2. For the game, Sluggs went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Florida is 50-27 and Amarillo, with the loss, 34-43.
Ejecto Seato had a big 2-run home run for the Flamingos in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Florida leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a curveball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Marsh Mellow Jr. and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Flamingos on top, 4-1.
"I thought we played a nice game," Seato told the Florida News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
