Swift Steeds Get Past California for 4-3 Win
The State College Swift Steeds topped the California Firehawks, 4-3, in Minor League PBE action at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. The standout performance belonged to State College pitcher and Los Gatos, California, native Biz Kitmaker. State College reliever Billy Jones picked up the win to move to 2-5. MiPBE Champions Season 31 suffered the loss. The triumph puts State College at 40-37 for the season.

Had Avery Acres not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Acres hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Swift Steeds .

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Kitmaker said.
