Flamingos Sneak By Hepcats, 5-4
|
A 3-RBI performance from third baseman Pierre Phillip, who is rated as the 60th best prospect by BNN, led the Florida Flamingos to a win over the Kansas City Hepcats, 5-4. The win for the Flamingos raised their record to 43-35.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Phillip hit a fastball from Jake Mitchell Jr. for a run-scoring single. The Flamingos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It's great when the crowd is energized," Phillip said.
