Flamingos Take Home 4-2 Win Over California
|
The Florida Flamingos dealt the California Firehawks a 4-2 loss at Florida Man Park. Jimmy Lumber, who leads the MiLPBE in runs scored with 68, was the star on offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Tugg Boat picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 9-4. Florida now has a record of 45-33 with the win.
Florida took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Homer Simpson hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Flamingos.
"I thought we played a nice game," Simpson told the Florida Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
