With second baseman Sidney Hughes leading the charge, the Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Kansas City Hepcats, 10-4, at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark. Hughes, who is tied for 4th in the MiLPBE in runs scored with 59, was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Armadillos have an impressive 50-28 record.

Despite the loss, the Hepcats got an encouraging performance from 21-year-old Ford Lincoln-Mercury. In the bottom of the eighth, he hit a 2-run double to make the score 10-4, Amarillo. "It's not easy for a young guy to go out there and perform," Hepcats manager said. "But he did it like one of the vets."
