Bears Down Wheelers, 7-4
|
Cliff Plante made an impact in the 7-4 Brew City win over Anchorage. Plante, who is tied for 6th in the MiLPBE in bases on balls with 48, hit 2 home runs. Kenny DeNunez finished the game for Brew City and earned his 9th save. The Bears, at 42-37, lead by one game in their division.
The Bears got a big at-bat from catcher Taco. For the game, Taco went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Brew City a 6-4 lead.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Taco.
