The Anchorage Wheelers picked up a win at The Tap House, knocking off the Brew City Bears, 4-3. Starting pitcher Goaty McGoatFace played a key role in the triumph. Remy Lebeau picked up the save, his 11th. Anchorage is in first place in the West Division with a record of 42-38.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Pass came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Brew City pitcher Kenny DeNunez, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Anchorage on top, 4-3.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Brew City skipper .
