Armadillos Rally Late to Nip Ranas

The Amarillo Armadillos picked up a win at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites, knocking off the Puerto Rico Ranas, 2-1, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Tom E. Jahns played a key role in the triumph. Carroll Niedfeldt picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Punish Vandals [BOT] suffered the loss. The Armadillos, at 38-42, have now won 5 straight.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Amarillo. That's when Mortimer Dog hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Punish Vandals [BOT] to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Dog.
