Swift Steeds Win at Amarillo, 5-0
|
Starting pitcher PK-VS was a major factor in the 5-0 State College Swift Steeds triumph over the Amarillo Armadillos. In 7 innings, PK-VS surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The win puts the Swift Steeds at 35-46, while the Armadillos drop to 51-30.
State College used the bat of Daquavion Davis II to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Swift Steeds ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Davis II said.
