Puerto Rico Roughed Up By Firehawks
|
The Puerto Rico Ranas and California Firehawks left the fans buzzing.
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old first baseman Woop Woop, the California Firehawks stopped the Puerto Rico Ranas, 9-0, in 9 innings. The last-place Ranas have lost 4 consecutive games.
With California leading 5-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Woop came up to bat against Puerto Rico pitcher Ranto Mune [BOT]. Woop hit a cutter to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Firehawks on top, 9-0.
