Spencer Bearer never let Chicago get something going. The State College left-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Swift Steeds to a 4-0 win. Bearer picked up the win for State College, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 7-5. Picking up the save was Scott Justice. He's now 2 for 2 in save chances.

Paddington Von Pippington had a big 2-run double for the Swift Steeds in the bottom of the fourth inning. With State College leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a splitter from Jackson Pollock V, who is tied for 7th in the MiLPBE in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Swift Steeds ahead, 3-0.

"Makes our job easier," said Von Pippington, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."

The Swift Steeds bumped their record to 43-38 with this latest triumph.
