The Anchorage Wheelers extended their winning streak.

Wheelers designated hitter Hogfeather Jones put his stamp on his team's 8-0 win over the Puerto Rico Ranas. Jones hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for Anchorage in the contest. Bobby Walk picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 9-4.

Jones made an early impact for Anchorage when he stroked his 18th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Wheelers on top, 7-0.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Jones said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Ranas have now dropped 5 straight.
