Swift Steeds Take Down Kingpins, 6-3
The State College Swift Steeds picked up a win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, knocking off the Chicago Kingpins, 6-3. On the mound for State College was left-hander Maddog Thornberry, who played a pivotal role in the win. Twain Teetoo closed the game out for State College, earning his 2nd save. Their 34-47 record puts the Swift Steeds 4th in the East Division.

Edward Mackinlay was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for State College. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Iesuhc Yttef. It was his 45th RBI of the season.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Thornberry said after the game.
