The Puerto Rico Ranas beat the Amarillo Armadillos, 6-2, at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. The Ranas got a fine performance from designated hitter Daddy Blaney, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Jean-Jacques François Jacques-Jean. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The left--hander struck out 2 and walked 4. The win gives the Ranas a record of 24-58.

Back Stop went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Puerto Rico. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Aria Bluesky. It was his 30th RBI of the season.
