Vandals Shut Out Rougarous, 6-0

The Vancouver Vandals picked up a win at The Thunderdome, knocking off the New Orleans Rougarous, 6-0. On the mound for Vancouver was left-hander Holly Sheet. He played a key role in the triumph. The Vandals, at 58-20, have now won 4 straight.
Ashton Lansdell had a big run-scoring double for the Vandals in the bottom of the second inning. With Vancouver leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Dash Jackson and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vandals ahead, 2-0.
"Holly had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Vancouver manager .
