Crabs Slap 7-1 Loss on Toronto
|
The Providence Crabs topped the Toronto Pathfinders, 7-1, at The Pot. Providence left fielder Paulo Zalewski was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. LeSean Maximus Marbondalenny Pitchlord earned the win for Providence. He lasted 6 innings, allowing no runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 10-4. Randy Colón earned the save for Providence, his 11th.
Providence grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Zalewski hit a solo home run off Sigandi Legend. His 13th home run of the season put the Crabs out in front, 1-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Crabs manager , "I like our chances."
At 43-36, the Crabs find themselves in second place in the Legends Conference East.
