Vandals Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Vancouver Vandals and the Providence Crabs, Thor Lore, who is tied for 7th in the Legends in innings pitched with 127.2, proved to be the difference. The Vancouver right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Vandals win. Vancouver raised its record to 44-35 with the win.
McLovin Jr. drove in one run for Vancouver. The 2075 Legends home run champion had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Randy Colón. It was his 48th RBI of the season.
"Thor made the big pitches when he needed to," said Vancouver manager .
