Ted Giannoulas did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Death Valley Scorpions from being beaten, 15-13, to the Nashville Stars at Gibson Soundstage. Giannoulas went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The Stars raised their record to 31-48.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jimmy Arenado in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Zachary Vega III to win the game for Nashville. The home crowd went nuts.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Arenado.
