Jiggs Kingman, who is tied for 6th in the Legends in wins with 10, imposed his will on the Rebels from the get-go. Relying mainly on his changeup, the left-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Outer Banks triumph. Kingman got the win, improving to 10-7. He gave up 3 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. The second-place Aviators improved to 47-33.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at The Island seemed to enjoy watching the Legends Conference action.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Kingman said.
