Sloths Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The San Antonio Sloths defeated the Outer Banks Aviators, 4-3, in Legends Conference action at The Island. San Antonio pitcher Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III had a standout performance. San Antonio reliever Cybernetically Enhanced RoboDibble snagged the win, upping his record to 3-7. Doc Holliday shouldered the loss. Carlos Krash got the save, his 5th in 11 chances.
Les Skoden, who is tied for 8th in the Legends in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Skoden contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put San Antonio up, 3-2.
"This is a resilient bunch," said San Antonio manager .
The victory gives the Sloths a record of 42-38.
