Boise Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Furcal Jr
The Providence Crabs overcame a pretty good performance by Boise third baseman Rafael Furcal Jr, beating the Raptors, 9-8, at The Pot. Furcal Jr went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Providence improves to 50-30 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.

The Crabs got a big hit from right fielder Seymour Baltz. Facing Boise pitcher Justin Izzo in the bottom of the sixth, Baltz pounded a run-scoring double to right-center. His 29th double of the season put the Crabs ahead, 9-5.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Baltz told the Providence Daily.
