Indianapolis picked up a win at The Brickyard, bumping off the New Orleans Rougarous, 7-4. Pitcher Professor Farnsworth was a major reason the Apex emerged victorious. Luna José Rodríguez Ortiz, now 5-3, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Indianapolis is now 40-27, while New Orleans is 44-23.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Dee Fernandez was at the plate when Indianapolis scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Apex to go in front, 3-2.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Farnsworth.
