Vandals 5-3 Victors Over Outer Banks

The Vancouver Vandals handed the Outer Banks Aviators a 5-3 defeat at The Thunderdome. Third Baseman Ashton Lansdell starred for Vancouver. He went 2 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mac John, the winning pitcher, improved to 9-5. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Jackson Kidd earned his 8th save in 10 chances.
Early in the game, Lansdell had a run-scoring double for Vancouver. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Vandals on top, 1-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Lansdell, "one at-bat at a time."
By defeating Outer Banks, the third-place Vandals improved to 32-50.
