Demons Earn 9-8 Win Against Scorpions
In a tight contest at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, the Detroit Demons edged the Death Valley Scorpions by the score of 9-8. Detroit second baseman Lew Williams, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Detroit reliever Chicken Noods picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Zachary Vega III was saddled with the loss. Detroit, at 53-30, is 13 games up in the Champions Conference East.

Detroit won the game in part because of Biff Slamous. The catcher ripped a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Demons ahead, 9-8. For the game, Slamous had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
