Pathfinders Fall Short at Vancouver, 6-5
|
Toronto second baseman Tyler Detherage had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Detherage was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, even as Vancouver beat the Pathfinders, 6-5. The winner was Capsaicin Shrub in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Swingand Amiss took the loss. Toronto, now 2-12, has gotten off to a terrible start.
The Vandals procured the win, in large part because of first baseman McLovin Jr.. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," McLovin Jr. said.
