Grey goes 3-for-4, Leads Nashville to 12-8 Win
|
The performance of Slate Grey proved critical in helping Nashville beat San Antonio, 12-8. The Stars left fielder was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Animal Kingdom picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 12-7. With the win, Nashville pushed its record to 54-31.
In the top of the 5th, Nashville took the lead on a 2-run single by Michael Munson. At the time, the Stars were trailing 5-4, but Munson's hit with two outs against San Antonio pitcher Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III put them in front, 6-5.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Grey told the Nashville Daily News.
