Surge Deal Aviators 7-2 Loss
|
The Buffalo Surge trumped the Outer Banks Aviators, 7-2, at The Island. Buffalo left fielder J.C. Tomlin was terrific. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The win for the Surge raised their record to 35-35.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tonk Mato? The Buffalo right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Surge on top, 2-0. For the game, Mato had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Mato.
