The San Antonio Sloths, despite a fine performance by Nashville pitcher Ultimo Kahn, grabbed a 3-2 win at The Treehouse. Kahn allowed 3 runs over 7.2 innings. The Legends Conference West-leading Sloths are 49-37.
Had Les Skoden not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Skoden hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Sloths.
"It was a solid team effort," Skoden said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
