Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Death Valley Scorpions got the win.

Death Valley picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, bumping off the Cancun Toros, 4-3. Pitcher Always A. Bummus was a major reason the Scorpions emerged victorious. Ya Hound earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-2.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the 14th, Literal Flamingo had a chance to be the hero. Cancun pitcher Romeo Rosas had other ideas. But with two outs, Flamingo hit a solo home run. The Scorpions had themselves a dramatic win.

"Big win," said Flamingo.

The Scorpions now have a record of 34-37 with the win over Cancun.
