Aviators Rally to Tally 5-2 Win
|
Death Valley got a big-time effort from pitcher Deviver Votto, but it wasn't enough to keep the Outer Banks Aviators from winning the game, 5-2. Votto threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Zach Voss earned the save for Outer Banks, his 6th. Death Valley, at 48-39, has lost 4 straight.
Outer Banks took a 3-2 lead on Bazooka Slow's 32nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Slow hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Death Valley pitcher Bandit Keith visibly frustrated.
Slow attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
