The Indianapolis Apex got a magnificent performance from pitcher Calm Chicken, who muffled the Death Valley offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Apex win at The Brickyard. The triumph puts Indianapolis at 48-41 for the season.

The Apex got a clutch hit from left fielder Edward Mackinlay. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Apex.

"This game was intense," Chicken said, postgame.
