The Death Valley Scorpions used the hitting of designated hitter Laser Show to subdue the Indianapolis Apex, 5-3, in 10 innings. For the game, Show was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Lanky Schramm, 5-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. Had Show not come through in the top of the tenth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Show hit a 2-run single. The Scorpions took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.
