The Death Valley Scorpions picked up a win at Vaughn's House, taking down the New York Voyagers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Always A. Bummus was a big reason why. Bummus, now 5-11, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Death Valley is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Literal Flamingo, the 23-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Flamingo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Death Valley up, 2-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Death Valley skipper .
