Despite a fine performance by second baseman Hulk Savage, the Buffalo Surge lost to the New Orleans Rougarous, 6-5. Savage went 2-3 with a double and a walk. New Orleans reliever Baron Samedi picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Brigham Irons took the loss. The win gives New Orleans a season record of 40-35.

The Rougarous got a big at-bat from third baseman Abigail Mills. For the game, Mills was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave New Orleans a 6-5 lead.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Mills.
