Sloths Prevail, 3-1, Over Vancouver
|
In a tight game between the San Antonio Sloths and the Vancouver Vandals, pitcher Mike Boss III was terrific on the mound. The San Antonio right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. In 6 innings, Boss III surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Cybernetically Enhanced RoboDibble recorded the save, his 2nd.
The Sloths got a big at-bat from right fielder Rob Littleton. For the game, Littleton was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave San Antonio a 3-1 lead.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Boss III.
The victory makes San Antonio 7-8.
