Fading Surge Lose 6th Straight
|
Providence picked up a win at The Pot, bumping off the Buffalo Surge, 7-3. Pitcher Flamethrower Meta was a major reason the Crabs emerged victorious. The loss makes the Surge 5-10.
Jordan Gonzalez hit a 2-run double off Beta Chapler in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Crabs in front, 5-3. In addition to the double, Gonzalez had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"We take it day by day here," said Meta, "and today was a good one for us."
