Vandals Prevail, 7-5, Over Boise
|
The Boise Raptors got a superb performance from designated hitter Bambi No. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Vancouver. The Vandals won the game, 7-5. No went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Darren Clapp in relief. His record improves to 7-1. Martin Khan took the loss. M4XX V3L0 was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 10 save opportunities.
Ashton Lansdell took Martin Khan deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Vandals on top, 7-4. In all, Lansdell had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We take it day by day here," said Lansdell, "and today was a good one for us."
The first-place Vandals have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
