Scorpions Pull Even With 8-4 Victory
The Death Valley Scorpions beat the New York Voyagers by a score of 8-4. Death Valley left fielder Smalls deserved the lion's share of the credit. Smalls went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Scorpions. Billy TheKid picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 9-10. Roman Melgar got credit for the save for Death Valley. It was his 2nd of the year.

Death Valley used a well-timed hit by Neller Denstro to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 5-4. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Denstro called the triumph "a good team win."
