Scorpions Get 7-2 Win Versus Seattle
|
The Death Valley Scorpions knocked off the Seattle Sea Serpents, 7-2, in Champions Conference action at The Aquadome. Death Valley pitcher and Tampa, Florida, native Cy Duck had an outstanding performance. In 6 innings, Duck surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Always A. Bummus earned his 15th save in 15 chances.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Melo Misteur? The Death Valley right fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 4-0. For the game, Misteur had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
