The Death Valley Scorpions picked up a win at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS, taking down the Cancun Toros, 4-3, in 12 innings. On the mound for Death Valley was left-hander Femini Nomenon. He played a central role in the triumph. With the win, Death Valley pushed its record to 51-41.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Launch Angle? The slugging first baseman Angle stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Death Valley up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 6, including 2 doubles and 1 single.
After the game, Death Valley manager applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
