Crabs Reel Off Another Win
The Providence Crabs picked up a win at The Pot, knocking off the Buffalo Surge, 6-1. Starting pitcher Joe Random was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Random, now 13-3. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. The first-place Crabs, at 66-26, now lead their division by 16 games.

Grayle Traveler had a big 2-run triple for the Crabs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Providence leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a circle change from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Lieutenant Dudz and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crabs ahead, 5-1.

Providence manager commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
