Scorpions Show Nerve in Tight 9-8 Win
Scorpions first baseman Launch Angle left his imprint on his team's 9-8 win over the New Orleans Rougarous. Angle went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Death Valley in the contest. The win gives Death Valley a season record of 56-36.

The decisive blow was delivered by Lawn Gnomes in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Ea Nasir to win the game for Death Valley. The home crowd went nuts.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Angle said.
