Swishman Deals New York 2-1 Setback
|
The Buffalo Surge got a magnificent effort from pitcher J.C. Swishman, who kept New York hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Surge win at The Power House. James Filtipaldi earned the save, his 11th in 20 tries. Buffalo raised its record to 50-42 with the win.
New York had little success against Swishman and his screwball. Swishman tossed 109 pitches over 7.1 innings for the Surge.
"J.C. had good life on his pitches," said Buffalo manager .
