8-4 Loss Deepens Seattle Funk
|
Rake Slammer impressed in the 8-4 Lunar Base win over Seattle. Slammer, who finished 3rd in the Champions in batting average with .309 in 2054, was 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Allegra McArena got the win, improving to 8-7. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The last-place Sea Serpents have dropped 6 straight games.
With Lunar Base leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Slammer hit a circle change from LeHarm James for a grand slam home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Space Rangers ahead, 7-1.
