Crabs Lose to Vandals in Walk Off
The Vancouver Vandals did just enough to sneak past the Providence Crabs, 4-3, at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium. Vancouver pitcher Andy Beans, in particular, had a standout performance. Vancouver reliever Holly Sheet was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Crabstin d'Potson. At 39-44, the Vandals find themselves in third place in the Legends Conference West.

Steven Strange was the walk-off hero for Vancouver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Vandals center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Strange said.
