Vancouver pitcher Andy Beans did his part in helping his team defeat the Providence Crabs, 10-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. With the victory, the Vandals upped their record to 62-36.

Beans worked his mojo for Vancouver. The hard-throwing right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 7.1 innings of work.

Beans said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
