The Outer Banks Aviators picked up a win at The Island, knocking off the Providence Crabs, 5-2. On the mound for Outer Banks was right-hander Joseph Mathys Hendry. He played a key role in the triumph. Mathys Hendry got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Outer Banks goes to 7-8.

Curtis Jones had a big run-scoring double for the Aviators in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Outer Banks leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Dr. Hubert Malbec and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aviators ahead, 3-1.
