Vancouver Beaten, 4-2, by New York
|
The New York Voyagers faced a tough opponent in Vancouver pitcher Andy Beans, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Thunderdome by a final score of 4-2. Beans went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. New York goes to 60-39, Vancouver to 43-56.
New York used the timely hitting of Henry Magik to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Voyagers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Magik called it "a solid win."
