San Antonio rode a good effort from starter Johnny Tatum to beat the Buffalo Surge at The Treehouse. The final score was 5-2. In 7.2 innings, Tatum surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Ichabod Kranepool recorded the save for San Antonio, his 16th of the season.

The Sloths got an important contribution from third baseman Les Skoden, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 1-0 curveball into right-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Sloths ahead, 2-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Skoden told the San Antonio Daily News.

The second-place Sloths have won 6 straight games.
